One day Theatre Festival was organized as a tribute to Theatre Legend Dr. Sanjeev Chaudhary

The festival was organized by Rangmanch of Mukand Lal National College in collaboration with Haryana Kala Parishad, Ambala Mandal. Mr. Sanjay Bhasin, Vice Chairman, Haryana Kala Parishad was the chief guest for the occasion. Dr. Narender Mohan, renowned writer and poet was the guest of honour. The festival began with lighting of lamp which was followed by a documentary prepared by Rajinder Sharma, renowned theatre artist and director. The documentary showcased Dr. Chaudhary’s rainbow journey of life depicting varied and various colours suffusing the canvas of his personal and professional acumen. This was followed by the staging of two plays ‘Prasad’ and ‘ Neer-Nirupan’ written and directed by Dr. Sanjeev Chaudhary. These plays were a tribute to the passionate theater lover, writer, translator, dramatist and actor late Dr. Sanjeev Chaudhary. Dr. K.N. Kapoor, writer and artist recounted Dr. Chaudhary’s precious contribution to theatre.
Mr. Sanjay Bhasin appreciated Dr. Chaudhary as a dedicated teacher and artist and suggested to organize three day theatre festival every year on 12th May as a tribute to him. Dr. Narender Mohan praised Dr. Chaudhary as a meticulous artist and multi-dimensional personality. The festival ended with blessings and thanks by Dr. Ramesh Kumar, General Secretary, College Governing Body and a renowned Punjabi Poet. He appreciated Dr. Bhavna Chaudhary’s patient effort to make the event a success and advised her to keep alive Dr. Sanjeev’s passion for theatre. The overwhelming presence and participation of artists like Dr. Pawan Bakshi and other students make Dr. Sanjeev’s presence felt in the auditorium. Every student became his ambassador.
