one-day workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights” was organized

A one-day workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights” was organized by the IQAC of the local Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar. This workshop was organized in collaboration with Patent Information Center, Government of Haryana and Intellectual Property Office, Government of India. Executive Principal of the college Dr. Rahul Khanna welcomed scientist Dr. Rahul Taneja from Patent Information Center, Government of Haryana and Mr. Yogesh Sachan from Intellectual Property Office, Government of India by presenting a bouquet to the workshop.
In his lecture, Dr. Rahul Taneja explained to the students about various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights like Patent, Trademark, Geographical Indicator and Design and Copyright etc. in a very interesting way. Mr. Yogesh Sachan explained in detail the process from applying for a patent to issuing a patent. Both the lectures should be informative for the students.
In the afternoon session, slogan writing and poster making competitions on Intellectual Property Rights were conducted. In these competitions, Dr. Anil Dhawan, Dr. Savita Garg and Prof. Manjeet Rani played the role of the jury. Thereafter students Ayushi, Jagdeep, Rohit and Prachi gave their feedback about the workshop. 195 students of the postgraduate classes of the college participated in the workshop. Dr. Rachna Aggarwal and Dr. Mahesh Kumar played the role of coordinators in the workshop. The Executive Principal of the college Dr. Rahul Khanna congratulated all the members of the organizing team for the successful organization of the workshop.
