National Service Scheme is a programme for service to society. This was adopted by Government of India dated on 24th September, 1969 in various educational institutions. Under this programme, opportunities are provided to the students through social awareness for service to society. The main motto of this scheme is character building through selfless service. Under this scheme volunteers do the physical work along with the villagers during the special camp.
