Mukand Lal National College is founded from the ideals of nationalistic movement. The term ‘National’ in the name of college is the evidence of the nationalistic spirit of its founder Seth Jai Prakash ji who established the college in the cherished memory of his father Seth Mukand Lal ji, who was a renowned Gandhian and philanthropist himself. The institute recognizes that college life entails more than just studying and socializing. • Since JULY 1966, the archive files of ‘The Tribune’ (a leading newspaper of the country) are maintained in hard bound volumes for the use of researchers.
• College magazines and special numbers and souvenirs of the yester years are kept.
• Four special sections namely, ‘GANDHI & SARVODAYA’, ‘THEY FOUGHT FOR FREEDOM’, ‘INDIAN CULTURE & PHILOSPHY’ and ‘MILITRY SCIENCE are maintained for the referral purposes and to promote ideals of nationalism, patriotism and secularism among the students.
