41st Sports Fair
Every year on 23rd January, a sports fair is organized in the local Mukand Lal National College. In this series, the rehearsal of the 41st sports fair started. Sports play an important role in the all-round development of every human being. Sports are essential for health.
The objective of this fair organized every year is that students should be attracted towards sports along with education so that they can earn a name in the sports world along with the academic world. Today, various physical and cultural programs to be held on 23rd January were practiced.
On the first day of the 41st fair, in the race organized for personal happiness, the runners were flagged off by today’s chief guest Dr. Manohar Goyal, Dr. Neeti Daryal and Mamta Bhargava in the presence of college principal Dr. Anil Dhawan and Mrs. Babita Sood. The objective of this rally was to spread happiness in the entire environment. Hundreds of students involved in sports participated in the rally with full enthusiasm and zeal.
On this occasion, Kho-Kho competition was organized in which the team of Government Senior Secondary School, Khurdi won and the team of Hindu Girls College, Jagadhari came second.
On this occasion, the two-day NSS camp was inaugurated under the guidance of program officer Dr. Vakil Singh, Dr. Pooja Rani and Dr. Rahul Singh. About 155 volunteers participated in this camp. It started with the NSS song and various activities were organized in it which included poster making and slogan writing competition. A speech competition on the subject of fundamental rights and duties was also organized in the camp.
On this occasion, the acting principal of the college, Dr. Anil Dhawan, while wishing all the participants his best wishes, wished them better performance and welcomed the teachers from various schools who had come to the fair and informed that on 23rd January, competitions like yoga, athletics, wrestling, weight lifting, karate etc. will be organized in the sports fair in which many sports lovers from the nearby areas will be present. All the meritorious players will also be honored for their achievements on this occasion.
Smt. Babita Sood and Vinod Kumar from the sports department had a special contribution in organizing the program. On this occasion, all the teaching and non-teaching members were present. The stage was conducted by Prof. Praveen Khurana, Dr. Amandeep Batra, Dr. Ankur and Prof. Vanshika.
