A free eye and dental check-up camp

The Electoral Literacy Club and Youth Red Cross Club of Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar, jointly organized a free eye and dental check-up camp on the college campus on 27 February 2025. The event was a huge success, with approximately 500 students and staff members benefiting from the services.

A team of dental specialists from Mukand Lal Civil Hospital, Yamuna Nagar, including Dr. Bulbul, Dr. Ashwini, Dr. Rajesh, Dr. Shruti, and Dr. Manish, conducted intensive dental check-ups and delivered lectures on dental care and hygiene. Additionally, counselors Ms. Lubhanshi and Mr. Rinku from the District Mental Health Team created awareness about mental health among the students.

            Dr. Indu Kapoor, an eye specialist from Swaraj Devi Hospital, Radaur, conducted eye examinations and educated the students about the adverse effects of excessive mobile and digital screen usage on eye health.

            The camp was organized under the convenorship of Dr. Savita Garg (Electoral Literacy Club) and Dr. Umang Bareja (Youth Red Cross Club). The college’s medical officer, Dr. Priyanka Mittal, played a vital role in facilitating the event.

            Dr. Anil Dhawan, Offg. Principal of the college, congratulated the organizers and Dr. Rameshwar Groach, and Assistant Professor Abhilove, on the successful execution of the camp. He encouraged them to continue organizing such events in the future.

            This initiative reflects the commitment of management of the College in promoting health awareness and providing quality healthcare services to its students and staff.
