A lecture on the topic Importance of vote in democracy was organized.

A lecture on the topic “Importance of vote in democracy” was organized under the SVEEP activities directed by the Higher Education Department at the local Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar, under the chairmanship of Dr. Savita Garg, Nodal Officer of Electoral Literacy Club. The speaker of this lecture was Dr. Shri Prakash, Head of the Department of Political Science. He explained the importance of vote in his lecture and while making the students aware, said that to make India a developed and prosperous country, it is very important for the youth to get enrolled in the voter list and participate in voting. He threw light on the fundamental rights and duties of citizens with examples. About 150 students benefited from this lecture.

The acting principal of the college, Dr. Anil Dhawan, while addressing the students, said that if the youth use their voting rights, it will also contribute to the development of the country. He congratulated Dr. Savita Garg for successfully organizing the lecture.
