A speech competition was organized on the occasion of World Health Day
A speech competition was organized on the occasion of World Health Day under the joint aegis of Anti Drug Awareness Cell, NSS and Anti Tobacco Cell of the local Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar. Whose titles were “Drug Addiction – Awareness and Prevention” and “Tobacco Use – Side Effects and Prevention”. Students participated enthusiastically in this competition and shared their views about the ill effects of drugs and tobacco. During the competition, the students were also given an oath not to consume any kind of intoxicant. The result of the competition was as follows - Nishita Chaudhary, B.Sc. 2nd year got first position, Parveen B.Sc. 3rd year got second position and 1st, B.Com. 1st year got third position.
Red Cross in-charge, Dr. Rahul Singh inspired the students to stay healthy and fit. Addiction makes a person not only physically but also mentally, economically and socially weak. Executive Principal of the college, Dr. Ritu Kumar, congratulated Dr. Mahesh Kumar (Nodal Officer, Anti Tobacco Cell) and NSS Program Officers Dr. Poonam, Dr. Pooja Rani, Dr. Rahul Singh and Dr. Vakil Singh on the successful organization of the program and said that in future also Motivated to organize various types of activities so that awareness among the students can be increased and their all-round development can be achieved. Dr. Sunita Sikri, Dr. Dalbir Singh and Dr. Nitya Kaushik were also present on this occasion.
