Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi celebrated by Legal Literacy Cell of Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar ON 28 October,

Under the chairmanship of Prof. Umang Bareja, the Legal Literacy Cell of local Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar organized an awareness campaign on the occasion of United Nations Day under the Amrit Festival of Independence. In which Advocate Shri Bhupinder Kumar from District Legal Service Authority was present as the keynote speaker. In his speech, he told the students about India’s contribution in the establishment of the United Nations Organization and the obstacles coming in the way of permanent membership. He said that it is very unfortunate that the world’s largest democratic country has to struggle for membership of the United Nations.
Slogan writing and poster making competitions were also organized under this programme. In which about 50 students participated. In Slogan Writing Competition Mansi, B.Sc. second year got first, Abhishek Luthra, B.Com, third year got second and Prachi, B.Com third year got third place. In the poster making competition, Kanika Kashyap, B.Com, second year got first, Tisha Dhawan, B.Com second year got second and Abhishek Giri, B.Sc. IT second year got third place. Dr. Jitendra Singh played an important role in organizing the program.
The Executive Principal of the college, Dr. Rahul Khanna, congratulated Prof. Umang Bareja and Dr. Jitendra Singh for the successful conduct of this program. Prof. Manjeet Rani, Prof. Asha, Prof. Ajay, Dr. Nitya, Dr. Poonam and Prof. Ankur were also present on this occasion.
