Celebration of World Health Day

Youth Red Cross Club at Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar celebrated World Health Day with various activities. The coordinator of the club Dr. Rahul Singh said that the documentary film ’TeachAIDS’ based on AIDS was shown to the students. While addressing the students, he asked them to be aware of deadly diseases like AIDS and TB. He introduced the students to the prevailing misconceptions and truths about AIDS and TB. Along with this, the students were also told about AIDS related National Toll Free Helpline 1097 and NACO AIDS Application, with the help of which they can get solution of all doubts related to AIDS. Apart from this, a reel making competition was also organized on the topic of HIV/AIDS. In this competition, Surbhi secured first position, Harshita second and Anirudh Mittal secured third position. Executive Principal of the college, Dr. Ritu Kumar encouraged the winning students as well as other participants. He inspired all the students to continue such awareness campaigns in future also.
