Drug de-addiction awareness fortnight
Drug de-addiction awareness fortnight is being celebrated under the drug free India campaign at the local Mukand Lal National College. Under this, the officer of Anti Tobacco Cell of the college, Dr. Mahesh Kumar gave an awareness lecture to the students. He said that the use of drugs such as cocaine, heroin, ganja, nicotine etc. is increasing among the youth and addiction is increasing in this category. By consuming it, the thinking power of the brain decreases and by using it more, the eyesight can go up to the eyes. Any person who is addicted to drugs can go to the de-addiction center of the district and get his treatment done. Keeping yourself busy in sports, entertainment and studies can also get rid of their addiction. Along with this, a pledge was administered to the students to stay away from drugs and to motivate others not to do so and also asked to run this campaign from house to house and nearby.
The Executive Principal of the college, Dr. Rahul Khanna congratulated the organizer for the successful organization of the program and gave a message that drug addiction is destroying the foundation of our society. Therefore, to empower the society, it is very important to eliminate the drug from the root and this is possible only with the participation of the youth.
