Environment Awareness extension lecture organized by Mukand Eco Club

An Environment Awareness extension lecture was organized by Mukand Eco Club and Department of Botany of Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar under the aegis of ’Isha Foundation’.  The event was convened by Dr. Rameshwar Groach.  The speaker Er. Nisha Sharma, associated with Isha Foundation emphasized on the need to conserve the soil for the betterment of life on earth.  On this occasion a Slogan Writing competition was also organized on the theme ’Save Soil’.  The students participated enthusiastically.  The first prize was bagged by Toshiba, Second by Disha Sharma and third prize by Kamna.  Two consolation prizes were given to Ruchita and Nehashiwani.

On this occasion Dr. Rahul Khanna, Officiating Principal of the College said that soil is like our mother who takes care of all our needs and therefore must not be ignored.  We should work for its revitalization.   

Prof. Anamika from Philosophy Department, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra associated with ’Isha Foundation’, Dr. Sarita Bhandari, Prof. Asha Rani and Dr. Poonam were present on this occasion.
