Mukand Lal National College celebrated 78th Independence Day with great pomp
78th Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp in the premises of local Mukand Lal National College. 77 years ago on the night of 14th and 15th August, India got independence from British rule and thousands of patriots sacrificed their all for this country.
First of all, the acting principal of the college Dr. Anil Dhawan hoisted the flag in the presence of the NCC contingent. He said that today we need self-confidence and fearlessness for the all-round development of the country. It was on this day that we got independence after innumerable sacrifices, due to which today all of us Indians are breathing in the open air of freedom. Therefore, salutations to all those patriots.
On this occasion, the professors and non-teaching staff of the college were present. The NCC and NSS officers and students of the college graced the event and patriotic songs were presented by the music and cultural department. At the end of the program, sweets were distributed to all the members present.
