NCC cadets planted saplings under the One Cadet One Plant Campaign

NCC cadets of local Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar planted saplings in the college campus on 15.07.2024 under the One Cadet One Plant Campaign. It was presided over by Commanding Officer Colonel Jarnail Singh and Executive Principal Dr. Anil Dhawan. NCC cadets participated enthusiastically in the program. Each cadet planted a sapling in his name and said that the saplings are like a family member and also pledged to take care of them. This campaign was run under the supervision of NCC officers Major Dr. Shri Prakash and Captain Mamta Oberoi. He told that the cadets also pledged to plant one sapling each in their village and around their house. Captain Mamta Oberoi told that the cadets participate in all types of activities along with the parade. After planting the saplings, the cadets also took out a rally on global warming. On this occasion, Dr. Pawan Gaba, Dr. Manohar Goyal, Prof. Praveen Khurana, Dr. Rachna Aggarwal, Dr. Sumita Kanwar, Dr. Sunita Sikri and Prof. Manjeet Rani were also present and they also planted one sapling each.
The acting Principal of the college, Dr. Anil Dhawan congratulated the NCC officers and all the cadets, appreciating their efforts and encouraged them to organize such activities in future as well.
