Oath program for rainwater harvesting

Under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan run by the Government of India, the oath program for rainwater harvesting was completed on June 29, 2022 in room no.18 of Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar regarding water conservation. In which 65 students participated. The following oath was administered to the students by the faculty of the college:
“Water is the root of our life, and its protection is our basic responsibility. I take a pledge that I will try to save water at every step and at the same time I will motivate my family and society to save water. I take a pledge not to pollute water resources, and promise to adopt all methods of water conservation. I take a pledge that I will adopt many methods like rainwater harvesting, crop diversification, planting trees in my life. Not from today, but from now on I take a pledge to save every drop of water, so that clean water is safe for our next generations. People power to water power - Jai Hind.
In this program, College Principal Dr. Rahul Khanna while telling the children about water conservation said that water is our precious treasure and we should save it from being wasted. Dr. Vakil Singh, the convener of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan of the college, while conducting the forum, expressed his views about water and said that water should be saved not only in principle but also in practical form and we should start it from ourselves and our homes. It should be done. Water is the basis of life. Life cannot be imagined without water.
Prof. Babita Sood was also present on this occasion. Finally the ceremony was concluded by singing the national anthem.
