Orientation Programme for First-Year Humanities Students

*MLN College Yamuna Nagar Hosts Enthusiastic Orientation Programme for First-Year Humanities Students*

 

MLN College Yamuna Nagar successfully organized an orientation programme for first-year humanities students on 22nd and 23rd July 2024. The programme saw enthusiastic participation from freshers in Humanities, who attended the event with great zeal.

 

The orientation aimed to familiarize the students with the code of conduct of the college as well as  the academic schedule. Additionally, the students were briefed on important aspects of academics as well as Skill and  Ability Enhancement Courses .

 

Incharges of various clubs, societies, and cells addressed the students, encouraging them to actively participate in the activities organized by these units:Dr. Manohar Goyal provided insights into various aspects of the New Education Policy (NEP), Dr. Mamta Oberoi (NCC) Dr. Bhawna Sethi( Rangmanch ),Dr. Amandeep Batra( Women Study Cell) , Ms. Umang Bareja (Legal Literacy Cell), Dr. Pooja Rani ( National Service Scheme NSS), Dr. Rahul Singh(Red Cross and the English Literature Society),Dr. Jitender Singh(Discipline and Anti-Ragging policies) Prof. Parveen Khurana( Entrepreneurship Development Cell EDC), and Dr. Dalbir Singh elaborated on various Student Welfare Schemes.

 

The event was efficiently facilitated and conducted by Dr. Pawan Gaba, Dr. Shri Prakash, and Dr. Sumita Kanwar, who ensured the smooth execution of stage proceedings.Dr Anil Dhawan ,Officiating Principal of the college emphasized  the need of transforming these students into human capital as well as making them responsible citizens.He also congratulated the organizers for successful organization of the orientation programme.

 

Overall, the orientation programme successfully set a positive tone for the new academic year, instilling enthusiasm and a sense of community among the students.
