State level literary quiz

A state level literary quiz was organized in the college premises by the English department of the local Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar. Five teams from different cities participated in this competition. The convener of the program was Dr. Sumita Kanwar and the co-convener Dr. Rahul Singh. The objective of the quiz was to test the knowledge of English language and literature of the students. Several rounds were conducted in the competition such as picture recognition, spelling and word meaning, rapid puffer round and history of English literature etc. Team of Manmahak, Akanksha and Surbhi from Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar secured first position, Kamna, team of Sanaya and Hargun from DAV Girls College, Yamunanagar got second and team of Jessica, Naina and Karnpal of SD College, Ambala got third place. did. The Head of the Department of English, Dr. Ritu Kumar said that the students have a lot of talent and their abilities get boosted by such activities.
The acting principal of the college, Dr. Rahul Khanna, congratulated all the members of the English department for the successful conduct of this program.
