Third day of the seven-day NSS camp

The third day of the seven-day NSS camp was organised by Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar at village Damla. The camp brought a vibrant amalgamation of health, education and community spirit.

The day began with a session of yoga and exercise, which created a positive atmosphere for the activities ahead. After a wholesome breakfast, the students expressed the spirit of togetherness by singing the NSS song, further reinforcing the core values ??of the organisation.

In the morning session, Dr Naresh from CHC Naharpur delivered an informative lecture on “Prevention of Seasonal Diseases”. His presentation highlighted practical measures and awareness strategies to combat seasonal diseases, thereby imparting vital health knowledge to the participants.

The afternoon was dedicated to promoting local entrepreneurship and self-reliance. Mr Dharambir Kamboj, a respected entrepreneur from village Damla, addressed the students on the “Vocal for Local” campaign, emphasising the importance of swadeshi products. His speech highlighted how supporting local industries can promote sustainable economic development.

To further promote student participation, a speech competition on “Swadeshi Abhiyan” was organized, which gave students an opportunity to express their views on the importance of adopting indigenous products. A rally was also organized to spread awareness about indigenous products, further spreading the message of local empowerment.

The day concluded with sports activities and cultural program, in which the volunteers celebrated both physical energy and creative expression.

Dr. Anil Dhawan, Acting Principal, Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar appreciated the tireless efforts of the NSS volunteers. He also expressed his appreciation to the program officers Dr. Vakil Singh, Dr. Pooja Rani, and Dr. Rahul Singh for their excellent coordination and commitment towards the success of the camp.
