World Wetlands Day celebration

NCC cadets of local Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar celebrated World Wetlands Day by taking a pledge to save rivers on the banks of river Yamuna. In the oath, the cadets took a pledge to keep the rivers around them neat and clean. This campaign was conducted under the leadership of Colonel Sandeep Sharma, Admin Officer of 14 Haryana Battalion. The program was inaugurated by the Principal of the college, Dr. Rahul Khanna. He told the cadets about the conservation of natural resources. Captain Dr. Mamta Oberoi, through a lecture, told the cadets about the many special benefits of wetlands and the measures to preserve them. Major Dr. Shri Prakash also threw light on the topics related to natural resources. Through this programme, the cadets learned about the importance of wetlands and cleaned the banks of Yamuna river.
