A lecture was organized by the Women Study Cell

A lecture was organized by the Women Study Cell of Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar. The speaker of this lecture was Dr. Anita Rani Dua, Director Women Study Research Centre, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Executive Principal of the college, Dr. Ritu Kumar welcomed Dr. Anita Dua and inspired the students for women empowerment through her poem “Phir Janmna Hai Mujhe”. Dr. Anita Rani Dua discussed important aspects related to domestic violence, women’s education facilities and health. He inspired the students to give equal status and freedom to women in decision making in the society. About 170 students participated in this lecture.
Along with lectures, calligraphy and slogan writing competitions were also conducted. In the calligraphy competition, Vidhi, B.Com, second year, got first position, Anshul, B.Com, final year, got second position and Harsimran, B.Com, second year, got third position. In the slogan writing competition, Vidhi, B.Com, second year, got first position, Navneet Kaur, B.Com, third year, got second position and Parul, B.Sc, final year, got third position. Dr. Rachna Aggarwal, Dr. Savita Garg, Dr. Sunita Sikri and Dr. Deepmala played the role of jury. The stage was moderated by Dr. Ankur.
Dr. Ritu Kumar congratulated Women Study Cell in-charge Dr. Amandeep Batra and Dr. Ankur for successfully organizing the lecture and inspired them to continue organizing such activities in future also.
