A one-day workshop on the subject of Analytical Techniques

A one-day workshop on the subject of "Analytical Techniques" was organized on 17 April 2025 by the Department of Chemistry and Career Counseling and Placement Cell of the local Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar. The main theme of this workshop was to provide detailed information about the various essential and non-essential elements found in water and to enlighten the students about the standards of water purity. After lighting the lamp at the beginning of the workshop, the Executive Principal of the college, Dr. Anil Dhawan honored the keynote speaker Dr. Ashish Sharma, Director CPPRI, Saharanpur and Dr. Sanjeev Arora, Professor and former Chairman, Department of Chemistry, Dean, Faculty of Science, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and Kumari Chhabi, Trainee, Absolute Scientific Solution, Jagadhari by presenting them with a bouquet and a memento of the college. In the first session of this workshop, Dr. Ashish Sharma gave information about organic chemistry to the students and made them aware of the challenges to come in the future. In the same session, Kumari Chhabi gave detailed information about various elements found in water such as pH level, TSS, TDS etc.

In the second session of the workshop, Dr. Sanjeev Arora, Professor and former Chairman, Department of Chemistry, Dean, Faculty of Science, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, in his lecture, made the students aware of employment opportunities and explained “Analytical Techniques” in detail in an experimental manner.

After lunch, in the third session, the students briefly described the posters made in the poster making competition on the topic “Analytical Techniques”.

In this program, Prof. Manjit Rani and Dr. Nitya Kaushik were present with all their team members. Dr. Anil Dhawan congratulated all the organizers on the successful organization of this one-day workshop.
