A two-day camp was organized by the NSS units
A two-day camp was organized by the NSS units of the local Mukand Lal National College on 4th and 5th September. In which around 250 to 300 volunteers participated. The camp was inaugurated with NSS song on 4th September. College Executive Principal Dr. Ritu Kumar inspired all the volunteers for their contribution towards the society. On this occasion, a poster making competition was organized on the title ‘Blood Donation Mahadan’. Volunteers made people aware about blood donation in the college premises and also in the areas around the college. NSS volunteers also cleaned the surrounding area as part of the cleanliness drive. Dr. Mahesh Kumar and Dr. Pooja Jain, coordinators of the tobacco control cell of the college, made the volunteers aware about the ill effects of tobacco and also showed a video clip related to it. A district level blood donation camp was organized in the college on 5th September in which all the volunteers participated with full enthusiasm and the college donated 224 units of blood in this camp. Executive Principal of the college, Dr. Ritu Kumar appreciated the work of NSS volunteers and congratulated all the NSS officers for the successful organization of the camp.
