ANNUAL DIWALI MELA AT MUKAND LAL NATIONAL COLLEGE

On 17th October 2025, Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar celebrated the annual Diwali Mela. The Mela was organized by the Self-Finance Department under the leadership of Dr. Neeti Daryal, HoD of Self-Finance Courses.

Seventeen clubs of the department hosted a myriad of stalls including food, games, and products. 26 stalls were hosted at the event serving dishes and beverages such as Disc-O-Bites, Samose Chhole, Iced Tea, Chocoloco Delight, and many more. Embodying the spirit of fun, different Game Stalls were also hosted where the students enjoyed immensely. Apart from the stalls, the festivities also included Rangoli Making, Diya Decoration, and Toran Making. The Product Stall displayed an assortment of handmade candles, crochet items and stunning hair accessories. The Share and Care Club took it upon themselves to donate food items to the old age home and the orphanage at the Sai Mandir.

The hard work and creativity of the students was encouraged with awards for Best Stalls in food, games, and product category as well as the Overall Best Stall. The Diwali Mela served as the perfect opportunity for students to showcase their culinary skills, creativity and financial management while also thoroughly enjoying themselves. The Principal, Dr. Anil Dhawan congratulated the organizers for the success of the Mela and conveyed best wishes for Diwali.
