N.S.S. units organized a two-day special camp on the occasion of blood donation fair

Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar’s N.S.S. units organized a two-day special camp on the occasion of blood donation fair.

On the first day, the camp started with the registration of volunteers. After this, poster making and slogan writing competitions were organized. Red Cross Club coordinator Dr. Savita Garg made the students aware of the importance and benefits of blood donation through a power point presentation. Principal Dr. Anil Dhawan in his address motivated the students to donate blood and called for spreading awareness in the society. After this, the volunteers took out an awareness rally regarding blood donation in the college campus and surrounding areas. They were also given responsibilities for various tasks for the fair.

On the second day, the volunteers actively contributed to the blood donation fair. They registered the blood donors, took out an awareness march with the N.S.S. team, distributed refreshments and food, took care of the blood donors and ensured discipline. With their cooperation, the fair was conducted successfully in which the P.G.I. and local Red Cross teams collected a total of 329 units of blood.

On the successful organization of the program, Principal Dr. Anil Dhawan appreciated the efforts of program officers Dr. Rahul Singh, Dr. Umang Bareja, Dr. Ankur and all NSS volunteers.
