Run for Swadeshi program was organized

A “Run for Swadeshi” program was organized with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on the occasion of National Youth Day under the joint auspices of the NSS units and the Atmanirbhar Cell of the local Mukand Lal National College. The program was conducted under the leadership of NSS Program Officers Dr. Rahul Singh, Dr. Umang Bareja, Dr. Ankur, and the convener of the Atmanirbhar Cell, Dr. Deepmala. At the beginning of the program, Dr. Deepmala addressed the youth, highlighting the life, thoughts, and ideals of Swami Vivekananda. She said that Swami Vivekananda showed the youth the path of self-confidence, character building, and national service, and conveyed the message that youth power is the true strength of the nation.

Following this, the “Run for Swadeshi” was flagged off by Principal Dr. Anil Dhawan. A large number of young people participated enthusiastically in this run, spreading the message of adopting indigenous products and the role of youth in nation-building.

On this occasion, a placard making competition based on the Swadeshi theme was also organized, in which students creatively presented inspiring messages related to Swadeshi, Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India), and nation-building. In the placard making competition, Rashi Panwar, a first-year BSc student, secured the first position, Nisha, a first-year BA student, secured the second position, and Anjali, also a first-year BA student, secured the third position.

All the participants also took a Swadeshi pledge, which included a commitment to adopting indigenous products, contributing to the creation of a self-reliant India, and promoting Indian culture and values. The objective of the program was to encourage patriotism, the spirit of Swadeshi, and positive thinking among the youth. The ceremony concluded with a message of national interest and youth empowerment.
