Seven-day NSS camp
**Seven-day NSS camp begins at Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar**
The seven-day special NSS camp of Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar commenced today at village Damla with the theme *"Role of Youth in Developed India: 2047"*. The aim of the camp is to inculcate the spirit of service, leadership and social responsibility among the NSS volunteers.
On the first day, registration of volunteers was done, after which the students were served breakfast. The NSS song was sung to inculcate a sense of unity and dedication among the participants. Later, the volunteers were divided into groups for better coordination of activities.
Dr. Anil Dhawan, Official Principal of the college, in his lecture emphasized the important role of youth, especially NSS volunteers, in making India a developed nation by 2047. He motivated the students for active participation in the nation building efforts.
Dr. Mamta Oberoi, Associate Professor of Statistics, conducted an awareness session on road safety to sensitize the volunteers on traffic rules and safe behavior.
After lunch, the volunteers participated in a literacy survey in village Damla to assess the educational status of the residents and identify areas of improvement. The evening session was marked by a spirited sports event that included competitions like jLlkdLlh and races that promote teamwork and physical fitness. The day concluded with a cultural program in which students showcased their skills through various presentations.
This NSS camp promises a week full of learning, service and skill development that will inculcate a sense of service and active citizenship in the students. NSS Program Officers Dr. Vakil Singh, Dr. Pooja Rani and Dr. Rahul Singh guided the students on the occasion.
