Sixth day of the seven-day NSS camp

The sixth day of the seven-day NSS camp of Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar, being held at Damla village, began with yoga, exercise and NSS song, which inculcated discipline and enthusiasm in the volunteers. The day was dedicated to cleanliness and social awareness. The volunteers carried out a cleanliness drive at the community centre of the village and organised a poster and slogan writing competition on Swachhata Abhiyan.

ASI Mrs Neelam of Mahila Thana, Yamuna Nagar addressed the volunteers, especially girls, on family issues and women safety. She also highlighted the values ??of joint families, stressing on the importance of education and career. Dr Pooja Rani, Assistant Professor, sensitised the volunteers about the ill-effects of drug addiction. The Sarpanch of Damla village also interacted with the volunteers and appreciated their efforts and extended full cooperation in the successful organisation of the camp.

Sports and cultural programmes were organised in the evening, in which the volunteers displayed their talent and team spirit. Acting Principal Dr. Shri Prakash congratulated the NSS volunteers and program officers Dr. Pooja Rani and Dr. Rahul Singh for successfully organizing the camp. He also praised the spirit of social service and community participation of the students.
