Third day of the seven-day NSS camp

The activities of the third day of the seven-day NSS camp, organized in Damla village adopted by Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar, were conducted under the guidance of the college principal, Dr. Anil Dhawan. The day began with yoga, physical exercises, and the NSS song. This was followed by a poster and slogan writing competition on the themes of "Vocal for Local," "Importance of Indigenous Products," and "Self-Reliant India." In the afternoon session, the volunteers conducted an awareness rally about indigenous products and visited Dharambir Food Processing Technology Private Limited to gain information about the juice manufacturing process and entrepreneurship. Sports and cultural programs were held in the evening session.

The fourth day of the camp began with yoga, exercises, and the NSS song. Advocate Ms. Mridul provided the volunteers with information on cybersecurity, legal awareness, and civil rights. In the afternoon, Dr. Anand Kumar, NSS Coordinator, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, inspected the camp and gave suggestions to the volunteers on social participation, teamwork, and encouraging villagers to reduce screen time. He also planted saplings in the community center premises. Sports and cultural activities were held in the evening.

On the fifth day, India’s 77th Republic Day was celebrated enthusiastically with flag hoisting, and the collective singing of Vande Mataram and the national anthem. This was followed by yoga, exercises, and the NSS song. The volunteers conducted a cleanliness drive at the community center and participated in a debate competition on artificial intelligence, digital literacy, and current affairs. In the afternoon session, a survey on drug de-addiction was conducted among the villagers, and Shri Srishti Prabhu Ji from ISKCON delivered a lecture on mind control. The day concluded with an awareness rally under the Self-Reliant India campaign and cultural programs.

On the sixth day, the activities began with yoga, exercises, and the NSS song in the presence of Principal Dr. Anil Dhawan. In the morning session, a poster and slogan writing competition on cleanliness was organized. District Information and Public Relations Officer Dr. Manoj Kumar delivered a lecture on government welfare schemes, while Dr. Deepmala guided the volunteers on the camp’s theme, "My Young India." In the afternoon, a quiz on NSS, Ramayana, and Mahabharata was conducted, and a rally and street play were presented as part of the Drug-Free India campaign.

All the camp activities were successfully coordinated by NSS Program Officers Dr. Rahul Singh, Dr. Umang Bareja, and Dr. Ankur.
